“If such-and-such wins the election, I’m moving to Canada.”

If I had a dollar for every time I heard that line I could pay off my student loans. Everyone has said it. Heck, Cher once said it. Sure, nobody believed she’d leave Malibu for Saskatoon, but still, people like to say it.

That they’d leave the country if someone they didn’t like won an election.

Maybe even you have said it.

But what if you put your money where your mouth is?

I’m not saying you should pack up the stick and bindle and hop on the next train heading out of town if the election doesn’t go your way. But what if you could tune out U.S. politics whenever you wanted? What if you could walk down the street without seeing political billboards or presidential yard signs that make your blood boil?

How much less stressful would life be if it all just went away?

Poof.
