Colombia was interesting. Now, this was a very limited experience (about a week in Bogotá, Medellín, and Cartagena each), but my normal methods of trying to connect and make friends didn't work as well. Mostly because the majority of people I'd meet via apps (even TikTok has been a good way to connect at times) just wanted a sex/money exchange. One of the few people I met that wasnt like that was from Canada.

I think because you are a couple that brings with it different challenges. I can use dating apps to make friends, but that option is probably off the table for you...which does reduce some outreach potential.
