Don't advertise accepting Amex and then not accept it. Don't think that's too much to ask. Amex has long been the premier travel card company, and I rarely have any issue with cards being accepted. Been rejected exactly zero times throughout all of South America (and I've lived here for 3+ years). Amex is also far superior in user security. LOL, it's also one of the most valuable credit card brands in the world, mostly due to user loyalty. I've had plenty of other cards over the years, and all it takes is one interaction with customer service to understand why that is. Chase Sapphire is probably the only other card that comes close, but even it doesn't have as many benefits.
