You know, I don't know if claps and comments have any impact any longer. Once upon a time, yes. Now?....I'm thinking not directly...but I believe stories with more likes and comments will get more attention , which in turn can lead to more reads. And reads is what writers are paid for. So by simply reading, you're helping out! Comments and likes I believe just help with visibility (although I'm kind of guessing on that one).
