For sure. There are some good English-speaking groups in most larger cities. There's also a language exchange meetup...can't remember what it's called off the top of my head...although from my experience that's more of a young person hookup scene. Ha, unfortunately I'm older than that group now.

From my angle, because I work alone it takes away that built-in work group, and it's surprisingly hit and miss for connecting with people at pubs or even at gyms based on the country I'm in. In Peru, everyone wanted to talk to me. In Argentina, I've been screamed at twice at the gym and I still don't know what I did (but that's just Argentina...they like to yell at people).
