For the former MIL, I think eventually, regardless of what happened, she was going to take her daughter's side. Easier to get through everything if she can hate me (of course the ex started telling people I was cheating on her...all make-believe...but that's an entirely different story). As for the ex, I honestly haven't said a word to her in over a decade. I know she's married now, but I don't thin it's to whomever she was seeing.
