I always tell people they need to apartment hunt ethically. This is a big problem. People will go to a different country local landlords will see this and increase the prices, and the people from the US will pay the inflated prices because it's cheaper than what they are used to. But when they do this it forces locals to move out. It is very, very important to not negatively impact the locals (otherwise we do to them what basically happened to us).
