It's so strange (odd, weird...maybe a hint of interesting) how these preconceived notions of people come about. You were told "all Eastern European women are gold diggers." I wonder why people think that way?
There's even that perceived bubble around people based on where you travel. I've flown to Colombia from Argentina (not too long of a flight), and while nobody in South America thinks twice about it, the moment I mention Colombia in the U.S. I'm labeled a passport bro/only looking for sex.
Maybe people everywhere just lump together what they don't know, or what they refuse to understand.
I'm sure it wasn't easy moving all around like you did, but it sounds like it did bring with it healthy perspective. Which, in my opinion, is one of the best gifts you can receive.
