It's unfortunate for locals. I've been a remote worker for about 15 years now, so I earn in dollars. And there's a "blue" market for dollars here (basically a legal black market). It's rather complicated to explain, and it would have dominated the entire story so I left it out of this one. But the short of it is, the inflation rate here doesn't affect me (the value of the peso drops so locals convert their money to dollars, which drives the value of dollars up beyond the official rate). Argentina, financially, is a good country to live in, if you earn in any other currency.
