I came out of surgery, my head feeling like a cement lollipop.

Struggling to hold my chin up straight, the doctor put her arm on my shoulder, helping me with my equilibrium. Smiling, she motioned to a small tray next to my bed, hot coffee and alfajore waiting for me.
