In the not too distant future, all disease is curable but all cures are illegal. In order to jumpstart stalled human evolution, only those with the purest genetics are allowed to reproduce. Those who are identified as carriers of possible genetic mutations are plucked from society, removed, regardless of their age. Nobody knows what happens to them.
Kyla Thomas’ own son has cancer, but thanks to her position in a local medical facility, she is able to hide her son’s condition as she hopes to uncover a cure that has since been deemed illegal. However, following a freak schoolyard accident, her son is discovered and taken from her. It is up to Kyla, and the help of a select few, to not only discover what happens to those removed from society, but her son.
