Now that is interesting. I didn't realize you could stay for up to a full year without any kind of visa. That's kind of crazy, to be honest. You can't even do that in Mexico. Though, from my own perspective, because I travel with a "dangerous breed" dog things can get tricky going back and forth, so having a visa is often necessary. It's the one (major) downside to having a furry travel companion.
