Oh I'm sure the Pierogi comes from the same food branch. Kind of interesting how a meat pocket took on a life of its own.

It's pretty fun finding out the little differences. And at least in Argentina, the empanadas are (usually) wrapped differently based on what is inside so it's easy to tell them apart.
