Oh no. I'm not self justifying at all. I'm very open about how dumb it was. But my purpose for writing this wasn't to talk about "asking about my wife's sister." It was more about when your relationship is crumbling you'll go to great measures (even against your better judgement) to try and make it through, even if it's at the expense of your significant other.
