Thanks for pointing it out. At the time of writing this, the Portuguese information was up to date, but the article wasn't published for a few weeks (and the new changes just officially took effect). It's still possible to secure a golden visa for €250,000, but the money needs to go to a cultural project now. so it's pushing investment money away from real estate after foreigners gobbled up a bit too much. In the end this will probably be better for everyone. Having such a low cost of entry for a Western European country was bound to cause problems. Regardless of the changes though, Portugal is still one of the most affordable options in Western Europe, for those that want that area of the continent (personally I've been pointing to Albania...it has so much of what people are looking for at a fraction of the cost).
