That's generally the way to go. I was dabbling around on Medium for a while, and nothing gained traction. Then I wrote an article about divorce and it really took off. I still try to do what I can with travel pieces and nomad visa stuff, but it's the personal things that tend to connect. On Medium, you don't pick your audience, your audience picks you.
