Yeah, I generally wouldn't have gone that route. it was an odd situation as I was waiting for Argentina's border to open and I didn't know an exact date...otherwise I would have tried to find something a little more stable/permanent for the eventual 6 months. Oh well.

As for Lima, the city itself doesn't have some of the charm of other massive cities (it's about the same size as NYC). With that said, it's the food scene that makes it incredible. 2 of the top 10 restaurants in the world are located in Lima, and because you're in Peru and not France or the Japan that eating experience is far less expensive. So I'd highly recommend going on a culinary tour of the city (and the people are some of the nicest I've met in Latin America as well).
